So, just to keep things civil, I have some rules for these forums that you should definitely follow. They're brief -- so no novels for you to read. Yippee!
No. 1 -- No Multiple Accounts.
Very simple: I don't want you making forum accounts for each of your alts. Make one account, with your main email address (must be actively used), so that it is easier for me to get into contact with you. When applying for special, staff or board positions, just put that specific alts name in the thread subject; for example, "Special Application -- Joe" and "Staff Application -- Jane" -- Joe and Jane are both characters roleplayed by John Doe so both threads will read, "posted by John Doe", but the thread title will specify which alt John wants to use instead of him making forum accounts for both Joe and Jane.
No. 2 -- No Spamming.
This simply means that I don't want you posting/saying the same thing over and over again. If I see anything like this it will be deleted and you will be penalized. Example:
No. 3 -- Limit the Swearing.
Now, I don't consider myself a prude but if I find that people are swearing far too much (outside of Rp) I will turn on the swear filter. There are players out there that are still legally considered children; and therefore, you should be watching what kind of example you are setting for them.
No. 4 -- No Unauthorized Advertising.
This does not include having links in your signatures to Wajas, Dragon Cave, FAM, and the like. However, it does include posting advertisements about other dreams and forums; as well as harrassing other players about buying the alts you have for sale, and so on and so forth... Examples:
No. 5 -- No Junkmail.
Simply put, don't message everyone with your announcements either. Example:
No. 6 -- Be nice.
If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all. Too often do I see people viciously verbally abusing each other on other forums -- something I won't allow here. If you're going to criticize, at least do so constructively (aka positive feedback). Similarily, don't bash me, my staff, my dream or my forum. If you have a problem with any of these then kindly direct your concerns to me through PM.
I'd like to give everyone the opportunity to be heard, but you make that extremely hard if you're sneaky and go behind my back. If I'm going to give you some breathing room you have to help me out by letting me be the first to know what's going on -- I don't want to be the last person to find out, much less to find it out on the forum.
Remember, respect is a two way street.
